United States Department of Interior Reclamation - AgriMet
AgriMet Evapotranspiration Summaries provide historical daily ET data for each crop grown in the vicinity of each AgriMet station. Information for the current year and previous years are available. The charts list crops by abbreviated crop codes. More information about crop water use charts is available Current year charts are updated daily by 5:30 am Mountain Time throughout the growing season. Historical charts provide daily crop ET for the entire growing season. Select the desired station and year from the form below and click on the submit button. Idaho Final 2014 §305(b) Integrated Report DEQ evaluates monitoring data using its Water Body Assessment Guidance (WBAG) to determine if each of Idaho's water bodies meets water quality standards and supports beneficial uses. Beneficial uses can include contact recreation like swimming and fishing, or the ability to support certain aquatic life such as trout. This site provides access to locational(GIS)data and information reported to the EPA for 305(b) and 303(d) under the federal Clean Water Act. Hydrology is the science that encompasses the occurrence, distribution, movement and properties of the waters of the earth and their relationship with the environment within each phase of the hydrologic cycle. And for those professional involved in the design and operation of drinking water collection and treatment systems, as well as wastewater treatment and disposal systems, the following aspects of the water cycle is most important:
Weather and water above the ground's surface; This portion of the water cycle includes the temperature of the air, the transport of water molecules from the earth to the air through evaporation and evapotranspiration, movement of water in the air through wind currents, and the movement of water from the air to the ground through precipitation. Natural storage of water on and below the earth's surface; This portion of the water cycle includes the temporary storage of want on the earth's surface through snow deposits, wetlands, marshes, ponds, lake, and reservoirs, and under the earth's surface in groundwater and in aquifers. The duration of storage may only be minutes, or thousands of years. Transportation of water water on the earth's surface; and This portion of the water cycle includes the transport of water from it's deposition on the earth's surface to the point of storage, storage and/or transportation beneath the ground's surface, or movement of the water to the atmosphere. This includes the identification of water bodies within a region, the status of compliance with water quality standards, the flow or quantity of water within the water body , and the biological and chemical composition of the water body. Transportation of water beneath the earth's surface This portion of the water cycle includes the transport of water from its entry beneath the ground's surface to the point of extraction from the ground through wells and/or springs or the discharge of the water to above-ground storage and/or surface water transportation. Knowledge of groundwater quality and quantity, groundwater well information, and aquifer information is essential in planning, operations, and evaluation All this is importation communities and environmental-minded persons as these combine to determine the quantity and quality of water available for use by man. |
Streamflow Data
United States Geological Survey - USGS Surface-Water Data for the Nation The U.S. Geological Survey's (USGS) National Water Information System (NWIS) is a comprehensive and distributed application that supports the acquisition, processing, and long-term storage of water data. Water Data for the Nation serves as the publicly available portal to a geographically seamless set of much of the water data maintained within NWIS. Nationally, USGS surface-water data includes more than 850,000 station years of time-series data that describe stream levels, streamflow (discharge), reservoir and lake levels, surface-water quality, and rainfall. The data are collected by automatic recorders and manual field measurements at installations across the Nation. Idaho Department of Water Resources The State of Idaho maintains current, past, and averaged river and stream flow data through the Idaho Department of Water Resources United States Bureau of Reclamation The United States Bureau of Reclamation maintains a database on selected watersheds offering historic and current streamflow data.
