SHAFFERS ENGINEERING AND CONSULTING is small personal environmental engineering firm located in western Washington and Northern Idaho. We presently serve Western Washington and Northern Idaho but will eventually grow to meet the needs of the inter-mountain regions of Washington, Idaho, Montana and Oregon.
Our specialty is water. This includes drinking water, wastewater, stormwater, surface water resources and groundwater resources. Our other specialty is water utilities and their operation. We focus on the needs of communities and utilities and provide them with the resources to look at their needs and make the best decisions for their future. Most communities and utilities feel that they are told what to do with their systems way too much, and would like to make their own decisions. They just need the information on which to make those decisions. That is the purpose for a consultant.

We support your operators by providing classroom training, reference manuals and operations and maintenance manuals. We also develop permit applications, sampling and performance reports and responses to regulatory compliance issues.
