Water Storage Tanks

Course Number:  To be determined

Discipline:  Drinking Water

Course Approval:

CEU's Assigned:  0.6  (Idaho)

Course Description:  Located here

This course is designed to introduce the drinking water operator to the vast and varied world of water storage tanks used by water systems around our great country. This is only an introductory course so as much as we may want, the information is limited, though the operator is encouraged to pursue addition information apart from this course.

The operator will learn about the importance of the properly sized and choosing water storage tanks, treatment and system storage tanks, the types of storage tanks available, the regulator requirements pertaining to storage tanks, and criteria used in selecting and sizing water storage tanks. We will also go over proper operations and maintenance proceedures to ensure that your storage tank(s) last a lifetime, if possible.

There will be a lot of discussion and examples. All are welcome and I look forward to meeting new friends and seeing old friends. The cost of this six-hour course (0.6 CEU's) is $120.00, and of course refreshments are provided.
